Lido is an 11-mile (18 km) long sand bar southeast of Venice, Italy, with 20,000 residents. Many tourists (mainly Italians) come here for vacations every summer.

Venice Film Festival

The Venice Biennale, in Italian for La Biennale di Venezia, was created in 1893 by Riccardo Selvatico, the mayor of Venice, who was also a poet and comedian.  Together with a group of artists and intellectuals, he organized an exhibition about modern art.

In fact, at the time The original name was L'Esposizione internazionale d'arte della citta 'di venezia, which means "International Art Exhibition of Venice City". After 2 years

of planning, it finally officially began the exhibition in 1895.

 

The first exhibition The exhibition was very successful,

and it has become a regular exhibition since then. 

This can be said to be an international modern art exhibition with a history of more than 100 years, the Kassel Documenta in Germany, and the Sao Paulo Art Biennale in Brazil. The exhibition (Sao Paulo Art Biennial) is also known as one of the three most important art exhibitions in the world. Among them, the oldest Venice Art Biennial is the most watched!
