As in other Christian countries, Italians usually go to the grave to scan the grave around November 2, so Halloween is also known as Ghost Festival. Ghost festival is inseparable from prayer, chrysanthemums and food, but the most important thing for most Italians is to bring white or yellow chrysanthemums to the grave. (Chrysanthemum is considered a funeral flower in Italy and cannot be given to living people.)

Every Halloween Italians leave their homes, especially those in the north, who have to go to the graves to scan the graves. On this day, Italians will place an extra chair at the dining table at home, where the chair will be empty for dead loved ones, and even a plate of food will be placed on the empty seat because people believe that the dead Undead will return home on this day.
