Piazza San Marco is located south of Veneto, Italy, adjacent to the Grand Canal and San Marco Canal.
The rectangular square is the only square in Venice called "Piazza", representing San Marco The piazza has a unique position in Venice.
In the 19th century, St. Mark's Square was praised by the French emperor Napoleon as "the most beautiful living room in Europe" and "the most beautiful square in the world."
